The role will involve working closely with the sales and projects team to design and develop catering equipment and refrigeration projects.
Main Objective
To work closely with our sales team by producing designs and quotations for commercial catering equipment and refrigeration projects.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Prepare designs for catering equipment and refrigeration projects based on the brief or template to a pre-agreed timescale.
2. Prepare mechanical and electrical service drawings and schedules in accordance with company’s procedures.
3. Preparation of a full range of quotations for catering equipment and refrigeration projects.
4. Ensure all tenders that are submitted have all relevant information included within submission.
5. Prepare technical drawings and liaise with our fabrication colleagues to produce manufacturing drawings.
6. Ensure all designs prepared consider Health and Safety requirements in terms of installation, maintenance, and use of proposed equipment.
General Responsibilities:
1. Must be open and willing to undertake training to assist personal development and growth within the role.
2. Demonstrate technical competencies to undertake surveys, such as accurately measuring, recording survey notes on mechanical and electrical services, and good understanding of
equipment specifications.
3. Well organised and able to multi-task to efficiently produce drawings and quotations.
4. Diligent and take great pride in the quality of the work produced to ensure high quality output.
Personal Attributes
1. Ability to use CAD, Revit and/or other design packages. Ideally holding relevant qualifications to produce all drawings to a professional standard.
2. Willingness to understand catering equipment and refrigeration regulations, and legislation relating to building services.
3. Dependable to produce high quality work with a keen eye for detail.
4. Well organised and able to work independently.
5. Enjoy working with and contributing to the success of a team.
6. Demonstrate initiative and responsibility for decision making on designs and quotations.
7. Effective communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
8. Demonstrate good IT skills and able to use MS office packages required to carry out duties.
